My story and your story are probably the same. It’s your very first baby’s day of birth. You’ve waited 9 months to meet her (or him). Although it’s a day of torment and terror for you that no one can truly describe, you are exhaustively thrilled to now be a mom. And here it comes, that first day you are in charge of feeding the baby. It all starts on that first day and goes from there. And who knew nursing the baby would be the most unnatural natural act? It was that day where I understood the typical Italian grandmother, “Mange, mange!”
Skip a few years, and now there is juggling the kid’s school, sports, fun, work, relaxation, sleep, and making sure the kids are getting the right nutrition. (I missed housework in the list, my least favorite.) We all know how important nutrition is to our children’s proper growth, and it is our responsibility. This is the season of our life of feeding the kids properly. We only get one shot at this. They will be grown soon, too soon. All that being said, we don’t have the time to spend all day in the kitchen cooking stuff. I suppose we all have the same amount of time, 24 hours a day, but most of us don’t want to spend half the day in the kitchen.
There are a lot of quick fix recipe books, but I couldn't find a meal plan book that includes all the vitamins, minerals, etc. that a kid would need daily. I have put together daily menu plans for children that a parent could prepare in the morning for 18 minutes. Her day will start with the nutrition ready for her kids, and that's a great feeling. Everyone can spare 18 minutes when it comes to the health of their children. Besides, it's "faster than fast food, but with the nutrition". In this book, I have to use several "secret" ways to get all the vitamins in the meal plan.
With the menu plan, the book will include a step by step guide to cooking everything in 18 minutes. I am going to do 18 minute YouTube videos showing how it is done (and proving it!).
